Manual/Village Drill Rigs
Manual/Village Drill Rigs
The need for shallow wells in Kenya is increasing, yet its uneconomical to engage big rigs for such small projects. As a result, we have always made the manual rigs (manufactured by Village drill) available to our clients. These rigs can drill a maximum of 70 meters deep and a minimum of 20 meters deep.
This rig has also been used in areas where accessibility is an issue. Its easily disassembled and transported to site using a pick.
Bit size is 6.0 inches, and PVC casing installation is part of the package whenever you engage us. Note that this rigs do better on soft to medium formations.
Because its manual and more dependent on human effort, our charges have not been structured as per meter but range a package depending on hydrogeological survey results (mostly formation hardness and depth).
The Village Drill is operated by spinning the input wheel while lowering the drill string using the hand-operated winch or ram, this makes its operation manual to lower the cost of drilling in Kenya.
